Wed Night Race on April 12
Hi Folks,
We had a great one !!!! The course was start, JR 3, JR 1 , YC 2 for finish. Malin headed a very competent race committee. Clinton sailed with Nick Doty and the editor of Sail Magazine and worked his way into first on the beat. Bernie had a bad start, over early, but scooted to first at JR 3. Judy wimped her way down the first leg and rounded third at JR 3 and solidified that position in the rest of the race. Hugh Finlason has a beautiful sail in Hugh Penn's trimaran. The third hull seems to be slowing him down but surely he enjoyed the race. There was a good crowd at the grill your own after. The deck provided a great view of the full moon.
See you next week ! There are three scots available and three more that could be whipped into shape. The new fleet sails should be here soon. Let's get some more boats out there !!!

The race was awesome. What a feeling to be back on the Bay!
Kimball Livingston, a Sail Magazine editor, is doing an extensive article of sailing after the hurricanes: Ivan to Rita.
He sailed on Sunday in the GORC, attended the MYCA meeting on Tuesday, crewed for me on WNR, and was the Commodore's guest for dinner.
His article should be out around August.
I'll be there every Wednesday til my family moves to Gulfport.
