TO ALL BWYC SAILORS
The BWYC Executive Committee wants to get the BWYC sailing season started, and some noticable sailboat racing activity going on the bay as soon as possible.
We need to plan the racing season; our weekend races, revive some sort of beer-can racing on whatever evening that is appropriate (Wed. night races), get some markers & race committee equipment, help Larry Keith clean up the two race committee boats, and plan our BWYC Opening Regatta for April. Our two boats will soon be good to go.
The only way this will get done is if we all do it together.
Those who want to help and be a big part of the revival of BAY-WAVELAND YACHT CLUB please contact me at jbatthebay@aol.com, or 228.342.1207.
I will soon have a FEMA trailer on my property, and will spend more time there to help. Come out and try to beat the old man on the race course.
Thanks, and happy sailing.

Bernie, I would love to help out, but I'm still in Mass.
If ya'll do start racing maybe you should carry around some long PVC pipes in your boat and mark any major objects that you encounter underwater... Just a thought, it might help out a lot.

To mark submerged objects: new standard racing equipment is are 10 plastic bottels with anchor weights. Hit a submerged object...throw a marker over.

If it is my white Altima, please mark it so that I can tell my insurance company where it is.
Thanks
