Looking for assistance

Hi Folks,

I am looking for someone who is willing and able, I can hire, to retrieve my boat from a debris pile when the cleanup gets going near it. The trailer is retrievable I think also. This is the Proline 17. Let me know if you can help. My phone in N Carolina is 252 533 0378 and email at jreeves@datasync.com. Of course, if retrieved then I will need a mechanic.

Please folks, keep this blog alive. Those of us in exile are starving for news about the Bay and our friends scattered all around. If you move back, let us know. The blog is a great resource for us all to keep in touch.

I went into exile and am just beginning to come back to life. Got myself and the animals comfortable, found a new home for Cocoa in Natchez and I am sure that she is happier than ever. Colleen loves being the only dog. The "Chamberlain" cat has an awful habit of thinking that my arm is a toy to be attacked. Any cat psychologists out there ? I have a new computer that can fit in my car with the few other belongings and I am being very careful about acquiring any more "stuff." Colleen has more furniture than I since she was given one of those stands that holds the food and water dishes. This is a beautiful place, not quite in the mountains, but on a lake and I have plenty of room if someone is driving by. It is the N Carolina -Virginia border between interstates 85 and 95. Guests are welcome. I plan to be here another 2 to 3 weeks, maybe the end of October. Hoping to see the leaves turn but to get out before it gets real cold. Certainly will not be back during hurricane season, 2005.

Good luck to those with the fortitude to stay and continue fighting the mess. Wish I could be with you but it was bigger than me. Everything was overwhelming.

Judy Reeves

Comments:
The insurance company wants $825 for the salvage of the boat and trailer so I have backed out. If you are interested in taking over the Proline for that fee, let me know soon.
