Greetings from CT

It was great to see the pictures of the BILGE. So many dear friends all looking so well. As some of you know we were to be in the Bay for the Liptons and then visit friends in LA. We hoped to start looking for a rental to buy to have as a retirement home in ten years. Anyone got any suggestions? We still plan to be there, although people here think we are nuts.

Cadet Robin Mason of United State Merchant Marine Academy spent the Labor Day weekend with us so she could try to get in touch with her family. She saw her US Marine Corps dress jacket on CNN on the Anderson Cooper show from Waveland. We tried to contact CNN but did get the local affliliate and they sent a crew to our home to interview her. She made Waveland and the coast proud in her Cadet whites and her intelligent and heartfelt interview which had the reporter near tears and it was a he. It was lead story on that night's three newscasts. She finally got to speak with Debbie and the rest of the family on Sunday evening. Next week she will be leaving for her first sea duty somewhere in the Far East.

We are excited to see that the sailors are sailing, good friends are rebuilding and that the Club goes on. It has always been the people and we look forward to the Liptons next year and retiring there to be with you.

If anyone is ever up this way please stop by. We have a big home and coast hearts.
