betsy, scott and ally

Hi everybody. I have finally gotten the time to read all the blogs. Glad to hear from yall. We are in Birmingham. I've gotten a great job, Scott is sharing an office with a friend, and Ally is enrolled in school up here. We have an apartment for now. We couldn't get into our neighborhood until a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure where my house is. I did find a piece of the deck next door and a piece of my roof across the street. Other than that, no house, just windows. My yard never looked so clean. Maybe its in the Bay, I don't know. Anyway, we have now started our war with the flood guy. Gonna be kind of hard to put a value on a 150 year old piece of furniture with only "functional value." Jerk! Anyway, we hope to be able to come down eventually, to see what progress is being made.

Oh yeah, I just told Bishop. We had initially left our Santana 525 in the middle of the bay, just in front of John and Leslie Dane's house, just to get it away from other structures. I don't see it in the Bay, so I'm not sure where it went. I feel it went toward BSL, or maybe even Slidell. I don't even care. However, the boat we had up the Jourdan River we still don't know about. It was in Gar Lake or something like that. We heard that Gene Taylor's boat made it, but of course it was slightly larger than ours. If anyone has the means, and wants to take a spin up the river, could someone check. It is a white C&C 26 named Lorelei. The name is on the side, not the transom. Betsy Weatherly

Comments:
There is a mast stinking out of the Jourdan River, just south of the entrance to Cutoff.

Could that be your mast?

Also... in the marsh between Diamondhead and Cutoff is boat...bow to pointing to the stars. Is that what I see from the I-10 bridge?

I think one of those boats is Joe Gregory's boat. Mike Haas Jr
