Silver Lining
After the past 2 weeks, I'm emotionally and physically drained after riding out and picking up after the storm. Thinking about all that we lost in a house that's been in our family for generations wears on you so I've decided to focus on positive outcomes to avoid further sorrow (or blisters). So here's a few things I've come with:
* after 59 years Walter finally gets a house with A/C.
* The bay has a plethora of new fishing reefs
* Mallini's is accessable by Sunfish (once rebuilt).
* Can't loose the Lipton if we don't sail it.
* BWYC probably didn't run my card from the Festoon Bay party the night before the storm
* New Orleans finally found a way to fill the Superdome on a Sunday.
* Hancock County doesn't have to pump beach in for the next 50 years
* We can tell those old fowgees who "survived Camille" to shove it.
* Fullfill my dream of "Living in a trailer, down by the river.."
* Ricky Eagan finally got to use all his gadgets, gizmos, doohickies, and thingamajigs.
* My crazy idea of a ferry system to link Pass and Bay may come true.
What would you have grabbed out of your house if you knew it was going to be this bad?

We really enjoyed that, Gilly. It made us laugh-we haven't been doing a lot of that lately. Love to all Susan & Mac
