Praying for yall... I was in BSL and Waveland 09/10 Update
Hello all:
Name here is Greg King and I was in BSL and Waveland last weekend (09/10) and saw the damage. It is heartbreaking. Lot's of good memories of Bay Waveland Yacht Club and the Waveland Resort Inn. My wife (Kathryn Anderson) and I are with the Red Cross and were doing disaster relief there going door to door. Checked in on the Chapman's house and had just missed them. Their old house essentially gone and the new one, although standing, looks destroyed. Talked to some neighbors and they said the Mr. & Mrs. Chapman had just left and were ok. We used to hail from Buccaneer in Mobile and now live in Ridgeland, MS just north of Jackson, MS. We have known Kenny and Amy (Chapman) Kleinschrodt for a long time and wanted to check up on Amy's mom and dad. We will be back in BSL and Waveland soon trying to help the great spirited people there get back on their feet.
Fairhope Yacht Club, Mobile Yacht Club and Buccaneer all sustained substantial damage but still stand and are salvageable. Look like they faired better than the others along the coast for sure.
Well we are praying for all of yall, and I know that the spirit of the people there will bounce back soon...
