Pass Christian Situation
Vicki Mcdonald and I finally got into the Pass yesterday. Most of the houses and buildings west of what use to be Pass Christian Yacht Club is unrecognizable. The building where shrimpers got ice was about 40feet high and shows the level of the surge which I eyeballed to be about 30-35 ft. I haven't been down to Waveland, but I imagine it looks similar. It is almost as though the waves/surge went over Henderson Point and into the Bay. It took several days for Pass officals to get their act together and finally settled on letting those with id in for only five days. The story is the same as most where we found little things that you wouldn't thing would survive but there is no sign of the 300lb dresser that was your great grandmothers. We're back in Destin now trying to brainstorm the next move. Hope ya'll are doing well.
