Cindy and Larry Steiffel in Bay Saint Louis
FEMA and the government/military have arrived. We do not need any more personal donations of food and water. Government troops from almost every military organization have been deployed and their support is finally taking over. Tanks, helicopters.you name it and they are there helping. We are very pleased with the help with the help that has arrived. The government officials and agencies, as well as the victims in Bay St. Louis, are well aware of the help and support that has come from the Houston contingent!
We are especially happy with the support from all of you - the supplies, the volunteers and the long hours of coordinating and loading up supplies to fill in the gaps where the government agencies fell short. Basically, our efforts saved lives, provided food, medicine and clothing in a time when there was virtually nothing provided by our government. Thanks so much to all of you for the help!
We are going to set up a fund to address specific needs for the Bay St. Louis victims. If you want to make a financial donation, please contact the Cady residence to find out how you can help. We should be back in Houston sometime on Labor Day and we will set up this fund in the following day or two. For now, make checks payable to Larry or Cady and we will handle accordingly.
We will send more communications as soon as more information is available.
