Bay St.Louis in Good Hands---Gilly
I left BSL today to decompress for a few days. Stennis airfield looks like an army base. Huge planes full of support are in and out of that place and the atmosphere in BSL is positive. All the troops I talked to are very helpful and the police officers from all over the country could not be more helpful. The Texas connection I'm positive saved 100s of lives. They worked their way into Perlington and Ainsley where there was no support (and let their battery die). They rode in Helicopters and didn't take crap from anyone. Rumor on the street is the Festoon Bay Distribution center will move to the BWYC.
A lot has happened in the last week and if you would have told me 10 days ago that I would be in destin taking a shower and shaving because I have lost everything in a hurricane I would not have believed you (or I would have grabbed the Driscoll painting upstairs and a couple extra pairs of boxers before leaving). The most important fact is that by the grace of God the Steiffel's are fine. We all like to give bish his share of crap, but he is literally a life saver. We'll all see each other again eventually and I like Judy's idea of a party at BWYC where we all throw our house keys in the bay..

Gilly--Tell Vicki HI and we love her and are sooooo glad that you are all fine. I hear you and Bishop both are something of a hero and our hearts hurt over the loss of the hosue--BUT--KLyn says you can have his guitar and you are alwys welcome in Greenville if you are traveling about--or Flat Rock where George and Bay are now. We love you and plan on giving you a BIG hug when we see you --I am so glad you and I had a dance at the house on Baronne--what a party that was! I'll send you and Vic duplicate sof the pcitures--OK--just let me know where. Call us--
